This Mortal Coil is a webcomic serial about the Gothic Lolita Shinto goddess, Kamiko, and her adventures helping mortals who become entangled with deities, spirits, and monsters from the Eternal Realm.

The first story is "The Rabbit and the Moon." Chang'e, the lady of the moon and Kamiko's friend, is attacked by a demonic wolf who is seeking vengeance after her husband, Houyi, kills his children and mate.
